A
set of rules and symbols designed to rigorously
simulate the alteration of reality through the will by way of meta-
physical forces and entities. In order to simulate magic in a game, magic
must be dened in part by rules. For example, a rule might specify that a
player (or a computer) should roll two six-sided dice in order to calculate
the amount of damage from a re projectile. Another rule might demand
that a player is unable to cast a spell if he has fewer than ve mana points.
