4.6 THE COLORS OF MAGIC
ere is a strong correlation between schools of magic and divisions of
the visible spectrum into discrete sections of color, such as color wheels
and rainbows. Color is one way of classifying the totality of visual experi-
ence, which human beings ordinarily tend to perceive as a chaotic blur of
