It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The PalmPilot Personal 512kB memory card uses the same PCB and a similar parts placement as
the PalmPilot Professional 1MB card shown in this chapter. It is also denoted with “160-0222 REV
A” on the back and “170-0087” silk-screened on the front. If you have a PalmPilot Personal 512kB
memory card that you want to upgrade to a PalmPilot Professional 1MB card, only three additional
steps are required (denoted in Figure 13.22):
1. Solder the Toshiba TC518512AFT-80V (or suitable replacement) Static RAM device to the
unpopulated footprint U1.
2. Move the resistor from R2 to R1 (the two pads directly above).
