Society has adopted high technology very rapidly. Millions of personal computers have been sold in the past 20 years, along with millions of cell phones. The total number of people on the Internet has exceeded 200 million, and there is no end in sight to the growth.
This growth has been rapid, but it hasn't been well-planned, and this has contributed to the security problems that we are experiencing today.
