In the twenty-first century, computers and other high technologies are accepted as a necessary business tool and a part of the corporate landscape. Traditional methods of communication, such as phone calls and faxes, have been augmented by email, which in turn has been enhanced by instant messaging. This improves the ability of people to communicate, and that is a critical component of business. We are witnessing a growing societal reliance on computers, because we are addicted to the productivity advances.
