When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How to Respond
Like a good 12-step program, the first step to fixing a problem is to acknowledge its existence. Let's say it together… “We have a problem.” The infrastructure that society relies on, as well as every computer that is attached to the Internet, are vulnerable to hacker attacks. We should not expect governments to solve this problem by themselves. The corporations that provide the infrastructure, the telecommunications lines, and the individuals must all pitch in to help.
Even when we now acknowledge that we have a problem, we should realize that its symptoms are changing. Over the past few years, corporations have gotten the message that external hackers pose a significant threat. They have improved their defenses to the outside ...
