Introduction
The point-to-point high-speed transmission of data from transmitter to receiver across a HT link relies on source synchronous clocking. The specification identifies three modes of clocking:
Synchronous
Pseudo-Synchronous
Asynchronous
The 1.04 version of the specification states that: “Only the synchronous clocking mode is fully specified in this revision of this specification.” The specification further states that the other modes will be completely specified in later versions of the specification.
