3.2 Managing Server configuration options
You need to make some decisions about the Application Monitor Managing Server: How
many, and how do you want to configure them?
3.2.1 How many?
The term Application Monitor managed space, introduced in 2.6.1, “Composite monitoring
scope” on page 15, can be understood to refer to all J2EE servers and established systems
whose Data Collectors are controlled by the same Application Monitor Managing Server.
There is a one-to-many relationship between Managing Servers and Data Collectors, and
there is a many-to-one relationship between Data Collectors and Managing Servers. A Data
Collector can register with only one Managing Server at a time.
