So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

5.13 Start the J2EE server
As the WebSphere Application Server user, go to the WebSphere Application Server bin
directory and run the serverStatus.sh script to see if WebSphere Application Server is already
running. If it is not running, you must start server1 before you can run the Application Monitor
installer. If you are running Network Deployment, you will also need to start the deployment
manager ...
