So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 11. Introduction to Distributed Objects and Web Services
Web Services is a main theme of this book, and yet so far we haven't really seen a true Web Service. All of the examples we've built up to this point are really Web applications. But these applications have been gradually converging on the fuzzy barrier that separates Web Services from Web applications, and in the next several chapters we'll cross that barrier and enter Web-Services territory. What all of the technologies in this part of the book have in common is the requirement for more work on the part of the client.
