In this final part, we'll look at the technology that is at the heart of J2EE: Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB). Web Services today are almost always constructed on top of servlets, although the Enterprise JavaBeans 2.1 standard (a part of the J2EE 1.4 specification) will make Enterprise JavaBeans a player in Web Services. But as of today, the primary uses for Enterprise JavaBeans are in the development of Web applications, so that is the model we'll examine.
