I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 19. Session Beans
No discussion of J2EE can be complete without a look at Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs). Enterprise JavaBeans are at the heart of J2EE, and I've heard many people use the terms interchangeably. For example, someone recently told me that he had “a pretty good understanding of servlets, but don't know anything about J2EE.” That's quite a contradictory statement, given that servlets are a major component of J2EE. But the equivalence between EJB and J2EE is strong in many people's minds, perhaps unfortunately leading them to think that any “serious” enterprise application must be developed around EJB.
