UDDI deals primarily with the need to find a business that provides a Web Service. Many Web Services, such as our Standings service, are appropriate to think of as being accessible on an adhoc basis without the need for a comprehensive set of business agreements between the provider of the service and users of the service. However, for Web Services to replace existing complex business models such major purchasing activities currently done via EDI, we need a more robust set of capabilities.
