I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Using the Value Field condition (which comes with the JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows app) is one of the many ways in which we can restrict the availability of a transition based on the issue's current status. There is another app, called Jira Misc Workflow Extensions, which comes with a previous status condition for checking against the previous status an issue was in. You can download it from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.innovalog.jmwe.jira-misc-workflow-extensions.
When you have more than one workflow condition applied to the transition, as in our example, the default behavior is that all conditions must pass for the transition to be available.
