LESSON 15 Editing Your CubE
The next tab is the
➤
Translations tab, which is not nearly as handy as it may appear at first. In
this tab you can translate your measures and measure group names to nearly any language.
When users connect to the cube, they can pass in their languages in the connection string;
some browsers automatically detect a user’s locale from Windows. SSAS will then return the
measures and measure group names in the users’ native languages. You can also perform a
translation in each dimension to translate the attribute names and member names. The prob-

will read from for member names. For attribute and measure names, you must enter the new
translations manually.
The last tab, the Browser tab, is covered in the next section of this lesson.
