I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 14 – SOLIDWORKS Assemblies and Advanced Mates
- The profile center advanced mate command helps us to center two surfaces in relation to each other in an assembly.
- The mate symmetric allows us to set two different surfaces, edges, or points to have a symmetric dynamic relationship to each other around a symmetry plane. To apply the mate, we will need to have a symmetry plane as well the mated elements such as surfaces, edges, and points.
- The advanced mate, path mate allows us to restrict the movement of a specific part to follow a designated path. We can restrain the movement with the path itself, in addition to the pitch/yaw control and roll control.
