cksum [files]Compute a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) checksum for all files; this is used to ensure that a file was not corrupted during transfer. Read from standard input if the character - or no files are given. Display the resulting checksum, the number of bytes in the file, and (unless reading from standard input) the filename.
