Setting up a local instance of the Remix IDE

We have used the online version of the Remix IDE so far in our example. However, to use the online version, you will always need an internet connection and if you would want to work offline, it will create problems for you. Hence, you can also install and use a local version of the Remix IDE. To install the Remix IDE locally, follow the commands:

$ npm install remix-ide -g$ remix-ide

To install remix-ide on Ubuntu, use the following command: sudo npm install remix-ide -g --unsafe-perm=true --allow-root
