If you have the possibility, it's easier to develop, test, and debug on your local machine. One way to do this, is to use the console version of the IoT Gateway. To test and debug your service, follow these steps:
- Install the IoT Gateway with all files, including debug files
- Execute Waher.Utility.Install from a post-build command-line event in Visual Studio, to install your service after successful compilation
- In the debug settings, launch the Waher.IoTGateway.Console executable file in the installation working folder, instead of executing the project file
You should now be able to run and debug your service directly from the Visual Studio IDE.
