When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Docker scripts
Waldo has been using Docker in quite a number of ways. First, he ran a Windows 2016 Server VM on his laptop, where he had installed Docker—so, in a way, it was a remote Docker host. Then, he moved to Docker on his own PC, which simplified the development experience a bit. All of his scripts to manage Docker are in the PSScripts/NAVDocker folder.
Here, you find scripts to create containers, but also to work with apps in these Docker containers, such as the following:
- CleanApp: This will remove all apps from a Docker container.
- InstallApp: This will install an app with PowerShell.
- ExportObjectsAsAL: This will export objects as an AL file. It's very convenient to use for reports, which you can export, rename, and replace easily. ...
