Agents
Pipelines that you create must be executed somewhere. Execution is done by an application called an agent.
You can use hosted agents, which are maintained by Microsoft in Azure and run on different operating systems with different additional software (such as macOS, Ubuntu, and Windows 2019 with Visual Studio 2019). For these hosted agents, you have some free minutes that you can use for your Azure DevOps organization (you can see the amount in the Organization Settings in the Billing section). But the use of these hosted agents is limited because you cannot install additional software.
