この章では、データ分散化の第三の波であるメタデータの分散化を紹介します。技術的な詳細は、できるだけわかりやすい言葉を用いて説明するように心がけましたが、メタグリッドの概念は新しく、これまでの考え方とは異なります。柔軟な姿勢で受け止めていただければと思います。メタグリッドは強力なアーキテクチャとなる可能性を秘めています。
この章では、「メタグリッド宣言」で述べる4つの要点を掘り下げた後、メタグリッドが何であり何でないかを詳しく説明します。さらに、シンプルなアーキテクチャ決定レコード（ADR：Architectural Decision Records）、モデル、リストを用いてメタグリッドを文書化する方法を探ります。最後に、メタグリッドアーキテクチャの具体例を順に見ていきます。
10.1 メタグリッド宣言
この宣言は、もともとは私のWebサイト（https://searchingfordata.com）で公開した、メタグリッドの概念を初めて詳しく紹介したものです。この宣言では、データ分散化の第三の波を提唱しており、その内容は4つの要点に要約されます。
- メタグリッドはデータ分散化の第三の波である。
- メタグリッドは単一世界観のモノリスから解放する。
- メタグリッドは決して完成することがない。
- メタグリッドはシンプルで、小さく、遅い。
