There are many EMS cmdlets that allow you to set translated or localized values for strings. For example, if you create a MailTip, you can create localized text in different languages. The same is true when you create message classifications, retention policy tags, and so on. The question then is how Exchange decides whether to display a localized value. In general, here is what happens.
Every mailbox is assigned one or more language values. We’ll discuss how this is done in Chapter 6. You can find out what languages are assigned to a mailbox with this command:
