We’ve spent a lot of time discussing how to store information in mailbox and public folder databases. The nature of IT is that accidents happen and hardware fails in even the most well-managed environments. Because these unfortunate events happen, we have to protect ourselves with backup copies, even if our data are replicated to many places around the world.
