This volume owes its conception and birth to Truman M. Talley, its publisher. Mr. Talley first suggested putting together a selection of my Wall Street Journal articles that merited book publication. He then cheerfully tackled the task of selecting the pieces that remained useful and timely and therefore warranted being put between book covers.
