I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This, IMHO, is a solid roadmap to follow as you progress through the craft of photography. Get a camera and a lens or two. That’s all you need to get started. Do not get G.A.S.* or it will kill you. Live in the Round 01 stage for a year. As you continue forward, add a backup body and maybe some lighting gear.
When you are two or so years into this endeavor and you know your small kit of gear inside and out, then start to add some more glass and lighting options. Finally, if you find yourself going pro, you’ll be at a point where you should upgrade a few things, but not too much. Go ahead and check off what you already have on this list. Fill in the gaps over time.
