When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Q: HOW MANY MONTHS OF DUST NEEDS TO COLLECT ON A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU’LL THROW IT ON EBAY?
A: For me it’s typically about one year. If it hasn’t been used in a year then it needs to move on. I try really hard to not buy gear that won’t be in regular use. It happens from time to time, though. I’ll come across a deal on something I think I can’t live without, and then it doesn’t actually get much use so I sell it and learn from that buying mistake. The last such item was a ring flash. I got a good deal on it. Ring flashes are kinda cool and all but they are a one-trick pony for the most part. I rarely used it. Luckily I sold it for what I had in it.
My Hasselblad 501 and SWC cameras are most likely hitting eBay soon. ...
