When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Seamless in a small room.
Q: I HAVE A SMALL SPACE (8′ HIGH AND 6′ WIDE) IN MY HOME THAT I’D LIKE TO START USING AS A SMALL PORTRAIT STUDIO. IS THIS ENOUGH ROOM TO DO SOME WHITE SEAMLESS? WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT THIS?
A: No. You are going to say a lot of cuss words if you try. You could pull off tight headshots but full length is going to be a nightmare. At six feet wide and eight feet on the ceiling you’re going to have a difficult time controlling the spill of light everywhere, unless you paint the ceiling and walls dark grey or black. As it stands, you basically would be shooting inside of a large softbox.
20x20 feet with 12-foot ceilings is around the smallest area I’d want to do white seamless work in. It can be done with less. ...
