In the early stages of growth of any city, the vehicular trips are all road-based and are
confined to modes like cycles, personalized cars, two-wheelers, and intermediate public
transport (IPT) modes like cycle rickshaws, tongas, taxis, three-wheelers, tempos, etc. As
