12. Targets
This chapter covers the process of setting targets for the key SQCs (Figure 12-1). It takes up the QFD process after the development team has determined the most important SQCs and has benchmarked the competition.
We will look at setting numerical targets for SQCs that have been expressed as performance measures, and at setting function or feature targets for SQCs that have been expressed as features. In the case of numerical targets, we’ll look at the possibility of using some simple algebra as a guide.
