Plan the Ending
Few things bring a smile to your audience’s face more quickly than the words “… and to summarize.” Even if your presentation is clear, interesting, and well structured, your audience will appreciate being freed to return to their other responsibilities. The ending, like the introduction, is where the audience’s attention is at its highest. Here’s what I recommend for an effective ending:
Summarize the major points you made in the presentation, be they conclusions, trends, arguments, whatever.
Spell out the recommendation one more time. (Remember, you introduced it as the main message of the presentation.)
