I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Where Does Imagination Come From?
As I was working on this chapter and asking colleagues to look it over, several mentioned that, while it seemed natural for me to come up with these ideas, it wasn’t so easy for them. I firmly believe that everyone has the imagination to develop ideas that are every bit as good as mine. The trick is unlocking your creativity and bringing it to life. Here are some ways to do this that have worked for me and others.
1. First, and foremost, don’t go it alone. Gather your colleagues around you and brainstorm ideas. Free-associate the concepts you need to convey with corresponding visual images that pop into your head. Make sure you gather all the group’s ideas first, before passing judgment on any one of them, so ...
