I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
4. Closing Thoughts
As I said in the beginning, learning to give a presentation is like learning to ride a bicycle. You won’t get very far just by reading the manual. With bike riding, you must learn how to balance, pedal, steer, and stop before you can coast down a hill with confidence and a smile on your face. Similarly, you must learn how to design and deliver a successful presentation before you can walk to the front of a conference room with confidence and a smile on your face. The 10 Commandments of Successful Presentations that follow should give you a good start down that path.
My hope is that the ideas and insights I’ve included in this book will make giving a presentation easier for you, even if it never becomes as enjoyable as a day ...
