So how might we find a process that enables us to design computer-based products with the same attention to user experience that we saw in the design of the OrangeX? I think that the answer lies in the OrangeX example, itself. Hence its importance.
It illustrated that the activity of sketching could be extended to other forms than just pencil on paper. The key here is to understand that sketching as I mean it has more to do with exercising the imagination and understanding (mental and experiential) than about the materials used.
