The proliferation of new wireless technologies, PDAs, and other portable computing devices have led to people accessing the Web from just about anywhere. However, anyone who has used these technologies will notice a difference between surfing the Web on a top-of-the-line desktop versus a cellular phone.
In order to accommodate some of the devices that might want to display a subset of HTML, the basic essential elements, there is an appropriate language: XHTML Basic.
