THE CASE OF YAZAKI TENRYU
During 2003, I had the privilege to visit Yazaki Tenryu’s plants several times and met Kiyoharu Nagai, the plant’s manager, and was deeply impressed with his personal dedication, efforts, and strategies and record keeping. Although several decades have passed since then, I have decided to make public those records in the belief that it will contribute to managers who are in similar situations today.
Yazaki Tenryu group was a multicultural organization with 131 operations in 30 countries around the world and was divided between automotive and energy divisions.
At the Yazaki Tenryu Factory in Japan, the main products were a gas multi-security system, gas meters, and gas leakage detectors.
