Getting a Sociopath out of Your Life
This chapter is about sociopaths. Technically, they don’t belong in this book at all, which is why I’ve shoehorned them in at the end of this section.
Sociopathic people are ruthless, self-centered, shallow, manipulative, and completely lacking in empathy. In short, they’re evil. But successful sociopaths aren’t irrational. They’re actually cold-blood-edly sane, and sadly for the rest of us, they sometimes turn out to be successful as CEOs and politicians (at least in the short term).
However, many sociopaths continue to escalate their behavior because they feel increasingly invulnerable. And that’s when they become both irrational and very dangerous.
