38. BOKEH SHAPES
THIS TECHNIQUE USES shape cutouts in front of your lens to produce beautiful bokeh shapes in the background. This approach works great for producing hearts, lighting bolts, diamonds, moons, stars, and just about anything else you can imagine.
Bokeh is defined as the quality of the shape of the out of focus areas in your image. A “nicer” bokeh is represented as smoother and blurrier out of focus areas in your photo. This technique takes advantage of your lens’s bokeh and replaces points of light in the scene with the shape you’ve cut into the black paper.
