ONE OF THE best tools to use for small product photography is a light tent. They provide beautiful, soft light and are very controllable—you can put lights on the sides, top, back, and front. These little tents are perfect for photographing small items you’d sell online or for photographing jewelry.

Commercially available light tents cost anywhere from $35 to $150. This project will cost less than $10, not including the lights.
