When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ISO
ISO stands for International Standards Organization and is a rating of how sensitive your sensor is too light. An ISO of 1600 or 3200 indicates high sensitivity to light, while 100 or 200 ISO indicates low sensitivity to light. Less sensitive ISO settings require more light coming via the shutter speed or aperture to make a correct exposure. The general rule of thumb is to use the lowest ISO possible to make the shot. If you are shooting outdoors on a bright sunny day, it’s unnecessary in most cases to raise the ISO past 400. Shooting in dimly lit situations, however, will often require a higher ISO, such as 1600 or 3200.
Lower ISO’s are preferred for the smoother look they produce. Higher ISOs result in a visible grain or pebble-like texture ...
