When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Reciprocal Relationship
Creating photographs with long exposures in dark situations is greatly simplified when you are familiar with the reciprocal relationship that exists between your ISO, f/stop, and shutter speed. To better understand this relationship, place your camera in one of the automatic modes such as Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority. When you rotate your shutter dial, both the shutter and aperture change at the same time. For example, 1/125 at f/8 changes to 1/60 at f/11. When one value closes down to let less light hit the sensor (the aperture here) the other opens to let more light hit the sensor (the shutter in this case). Both 1/125 at f/8 and 1/60 at f/11 allow the same amount of light to hit the sensor.
