It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Photographing In the Dark
Working in the dark certainly poses challenges for the night photographer. Composing, focusing, and calculating exposure are just a few of the difficulties we face. The good news is that simple solutions exist for overcoming these pesky obstacles. In this chapter I’ll discuss solutions for such problems as focusing your camera in the dark, determining ambient and light-painting exposures, and excess noise. We’ll also explore the various settings on your camera that ensure accuracy, high-quality images, and ease of use.
