Just about any type of flashlight will provide enough illumination to see in the dark, but when it comes to choosing a precision tool for light painting, you’ll want to consider several features.
1. Durability/quality
2. Beam quality
3. Intensity
4. Color
Durability is an important consideration for this often-used tool. I far prefer to spend a little more on something that will last. Higher quality flashlights are often what they call weatherproof. While not quite waterproof, these will be more than adequate in inclement weather. They will also withstand the impact of the inevitable fall.
