Microsoft has bragged a lot about Windows 11 and how it's the best operating system for gamers. The company did introduce some new features like direct storage and auto HDR, but for the most part, Windows 11 is identical to Windows 10 in this regard.

Direct storage is a technical feature that allows your PC to bypass the processor when it needs to load data from an NVMe solid-state drive to the graphics card. It decreases the amount of processor power required by games when loading textures, which means games should load faster. However, software developers need to implement direct storage in their games, and when Windows 11 was launched, no titles had this feature. Talk about a launch on paper, huh? I hope this situation will change in the next few years.
