Many users complain about Windows 11’s forced patches and upgrades. Rightfully so. From the days of Windows 10, Microsoft has proved over and over that it can’t be trusted to deliver reliable software fixes. No matter how much Microsoft fails and users complain, the company is not willing to improve its approach to Windows updates.

Windows 11 updates itself automatically, in the background, using criteria known only by Microsoft. If you don’t go into Windows 11 and change things, it automatically assumes that you want to install Microsoft’s changes the moment they appear. In the past, that’s led to all sorts of problems, and I doubt that it’ll change in the future. If you want a better computing experience, take control and use the Pause Updates feature, especially just before Microsoft releases a new feature update.
