Nobody uses CDs, DVDs, or Blu-Ray discs anymore. The world has been swept away by USB flash drives and USB hard disks instead. And for good reasons: They are cheap, small, and easy to carry around. You can write any data on them, and they work plug-and-play with all operating systems — even with Android, if you have a USB Type C flash drive to connect to your smartphone.
Therefore, it makes sense to have a USB flash drive around. And if you’re using one or more, it's a good idea to know how to get around some annoyances, like the AutoPlay dialog you see every time you plug in a USB device. Also, even if Microsoft says otherwise, it's good to know when it's safe to unplug a USB device from your computer, so, I share some tips on that.
