The .NET Framework has generic infrastructure for packaging and accessing resources—the noncode pieces of an application or component, such as bitmaps, fonts, audio/video files, and string tables. XAML-based frameworks not only leverage the core .NET resources system but add a little more support. They support two distinct types of resources: binary resources and logical resources.
