Inertial Particle Behaviour in Turbulent Fluid Flow

The influence of particle inertia, shape and orientation, and fluid turbulence intensity on the behaviour of particles in a channel flow is investigated using large eddy simulation coupled to a Lagrangian particle tracking technique that solves the Newton-Euler equations of rigid particle motion.
