1. Do: follow a structured process

Start at step one and work through to the last, lest you leave out a key step. One such process is the Strategy Pyramid, set out in the introduction to this book. A recent client of mine built in no competitive response to his modelling of strategic options, partly because he had relegated analysis of competition to a single paragraph earlier in the document.
