Introducing DHTML
DHTML is not actually a different language from HTML but instead is a set of add-on technologies. To create more self-activating Web sites, you piece together the tools you want to use. Therefore, to master DHTML you don't learn new HTML commands; instead, you learn new items you can place on the Web pages that you develop.

This chapter will not actually teach you DHTML, because of its advanced nature and the complex tools required at times. However, you will gain insight into what you'll be required to master if you want to create DHTML-based pages.
